How can the world of culture and art be reconstructed with an egalitarian approach? In this talk, the Bergama Theatre Festival discusses the issue of Equality in the Creative Field with local and national representatives from the performing arts space, and includes women professionals in this year’s program of the festival.

The discussion process, which started with the closing session of the WOW Istanbul Festival held in Istanbul in March, with the cooperation of the British Council Turkey and the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), was followed by the report titled “Gender in the World of Culture and Art,” published in April as part of İKSV’s Cultural Policy Studies.

The Bergama Theatre Festival, which took over the flag, approaches the subject in terms of steps that can be taken in performance arts and local cultural policies. The issue of gender equality takes place extensively in the festival program with different performances and workshops.
