A part of the city walls, which reached its widest form during the reign of Eumenes II, one of the important kings of the city of Pergamon, passes through the present Kale District. The life that developed on the ancient houses on the skirts of the Acropolis presents us the 18th-19th century structures as architectural heritage. Ulucami, Talatpa\u015fa and Kurtulu\u015f neighborhoods from west to east, and &#8216;Kale Mahallesi&#8217;, as it is known among the people, had a cosmopolitan structure until the end of the 19th century.
